Meet the Founder - Ms. Massa Stataria McClain
For more than 30 years I have poured my heart into education. But my journey truly began at age 16, when I felt called into a ministry of serving others, giving my gifts and talents in a way that would lift people and leave them better than I found them. That sense of calling became the compass that has guided me ever since.
My passion for teaching and leading is also rooted in a powerful family legacy. On both my father’s side and my mother’s side, generations of educators stretch back to Liberia, West Africa. In Liberia, education was treasured and treated as a sacred trust. Families would send their children abroad to study so they could return home to teach, often with little or no resources, but always with sacrificial service, steady strength, and steadfast belief in learning. That heritage shaped me. It is the soil from which my own calling grew.
For me, education has never been only a career. It has always been a mission. That mission turned into a rewarding 32-year journey as a teacher, coach, principal, and mentor. I have led schools, supported teachers, secured grants, and built partnerships with families and communities. At the center of it all, I believe school culture matters, and leaders are responsible for creating other leaders. When leaders lead with courage and clarity, cultures change and children flourish.
Leadership is not limited to titles or positions. Every person has the potential to lead, whether at home, in organizations, or in relationships. Leadership begins with self-awareness, grows through service, and blossoms into legacy. Today, as a doctoral candidate studying how leadership practices shape school culture and student outcomes, I am still learning, still growing, and still committed to the same belief that called me at 16. Leadership is legacy. And the legacy I want to leave is one where authenticity, purpose, and courage shape the way we live and the way we lead.
